Dan was born in Grand Rapids, MI but grew up in Chicago, IL where he later met his wife, Carolyn, in 1999. Both Dan and Carolyn are retired and spend their time watching their great grandson and serving their church family at Hurstbourne Baptist Church.
Dan could be found almost any day at church working out on the grounds making it beautiful for all to enjoy. He made friends with many of the nearby neighbors, representing his church well. Dan was also always willing and ready to answer anyone’s call for help whether it was yard work, leaky pipes, playing chauffeur or helping with anything anyone needed. Those who knew him well would say he was a True Servant of God. When not at church working, you would find him in his garage tinkering and repairing something. He was a joyful, tireless worker who loved what he did.

We his family take comfort in the fact Dan lived his life to the fullest and passed away at home while doing something he loved, working in the yard. We will miss him terribly but are grateful for the memories we made with him. We know he loved his Lord and is rejoicing with Him in Heaven now.
