He graduated from the University of Louisville Speed School of Engineering in 1962 and went on to be an Engineering Manager at General Electric Appliance Park, where he retired after 31 years of service. He was also a member of the German American Club. He will be so greatly missed.
David was preceded in passing by his beloved son, David Keith Heimerdinger (1966-1985)
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Patricia Anne Jackson Heimerdinger; children, Linda Susan Hutton, Douglas David Heimerdinger (Lori), and Mark Alan Heimerdinger; grandchildren, David Mitchell Heimerdinger, Daniel Heimerdinger, Brandon Keith Hutton, and Allie Jo Hutton.
A service to honor David’s life will take place on Monday, December 12th, at 11 AM, at the Chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 11th, from 4-6 PM at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest following the service at Resthaven Memorial Park.
