He is survived by the love of his life, Suzanne, and his daughters; Sandy (Dennis) Skees and Dawnette (Curtis) Scott, and stepdaughter, Talia Piccini, as well as sisters; Mary Jane Carroll and Elizabeth Ann Schweinhart. He adored his four grandchildren; Adam (Chelsea) Sellers, Emily Sellers, Alexandra Scott and Stephen Scott. He is also survived by many loving cousins, nephews, and nieces.
David was born August 5, 1943. He was a graduate of DeSales High School and the University of Louisville. He retired from Ford KTP Scheduling after 32 1/2 years. After retirement, David volunteered at Ronald McDonald House and the American Red Cross. He also enjoyed playing golf, boating and fishing, and playing cards.
The family wishes to thank Dr. William Dillon for his many years of compassionate care.
David’s Funeral Service will be held Sunday, February 14, 2016 at 10 am in Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Rd, with private entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Saturday from 4-8 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts to Ronald McDonald House, American Heart Association, or the Kentucky Humane Society.
