Didar (Dia) Hothi

Born on August 9, 1939, Dia lived a life marked by dedication, curiosity and joy. He retired from Ford Motor Company, where he served as an Executive Manufacturing Engineer in European Vehicle Operations. Through his work, he and his wife spent many happy years living in Germany—an experience he treasured deeply.

Dia was an avid golfer and a longtime member of Standard Golf Club, where he found both joy and camaraderie.

He is survived by his brother John (Donna); his sister Nasib (Amarjit); his daughter Jennifer; his stepdaughter Rita LaRocque; step-grandchildren Kevin and Chantal; and his step-great-grandson Bentley. He is also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews who will continue to cherish his memory.

Dia was predeceased by his wife, Lauretta; his parents, Pritam and Bhago Singh,his brothers Darshan, Lashkar, and Pakhar.

He will be remembered for his devotion to family, his professional accomplishments, and the steady presence he offered to those who knew him.

Visitation will be held at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Services, located at 7410 Westport Road, Louisville, KY, 40222, on December 30, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

The funeral service will follow the visitation at the same venue beginning at 11:00 am on December 30, 2025.
