He was a retired BA Operator for Metro Corrections and retired Army Reserves.
Mr. Benner is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia Benner; a son, Jami Benner (Samantha); a daughter, Jennifer Decker (David); three grandchildren, Shelby, Alyssa and Aidan; a brother Barry Benner (Darlene); and a sister, Marlene Jenkins.
His funeral will be on Monday, April 4th, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 6901 Dixie Highway, at 11am with interment following in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central. Visitation will be at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home from 2pm until 8pm on Sunday.
