Donald Marr, 76, of Louisville passed away August 9, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Green County, Kentucky on April 13, 1936 to the late Elvie and Maude Milby Marr. He attended Hebron Presbyterian Church. Donald was a machinist with BLC and a veteran serving in the United States Army.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his children, Janet Tipton and Johnny Ray Marr; and six brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Maxine Milby Marr; granddaughters, Faith Black and Hope Redmon; three great-granddaughters, Jessica Gabert, Serenity Tipton and Heavenly Ray Redmon; and five sisters.
A celebration of his life will be conducted Saturday at noon at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4-8 on Friday at the funeral home.
