Donna was born in East Moline, IL on November 4, 1955, to Delmar and Ruby Stephens. Donna moved to Louisville with her family in the late 1960’s and graduated from Moore High School. She began her career right out of high school with Advance Distribution Services (ADS) where she rose through the ranks wearing many hats to learn multiple jobs with steadfast commitment. Growing as a graceful leader and eventually serving as the Administration Manager in charge of IT, HR, inventory control, accounting and all the staff needed to perform those functions. If not in name, always the leader in fact, her tireless dedication to ADS made it the successful small business it still is today. She and her husband Frank married in 1994 and raised her two children and his two children to become fine young people. Later becoming grandparents to their five grandchildren, Donna and Frank affectionately became known as DD and Poppy.
Donna retired from ADS after 40 years of service. During retirement she enjoyed spending the winters at her home in Florida socializing with the many dear friends that she made while there. She and Frank enjoyed playing golf together, fishing trips to the Juniper Club and being with their children and grandchildren.
Donna will be remembered for her unconditional love of her family and friends, and her contagious laugh. She laughed with her whole body, bringing about smiles to those in her presence. She will also be remembered as truly one of the world's most beautiful women, although she consistently and adamantly denied it.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents Delmer and Ruby Stephens and daughter Ellen Hagans. She is survived by her loving husband Frank Hagans; children Trende Reed (Bobby), Miranda Seewer and Evan Hagans; grandchildren Stella Reed, Sully Reed, Griffin Seewer, Sawyer Reed, and Abby Seewer; twin brother Donnie Stephens and younger brother Dennis Stephens (Vicki); niece Nikki Curry (Travis). Many thanks to her caregivers Vicki, Cheri and Ashley, Hosparus Health and Nazareth Home, all of whom made her last days as wonderful and comfortable as possible.
