Doris Jean Bryant, age 82 was born on May 15, 1941 and passed away on Monday February 19, 2024. She was the former Doris Hornback, a retired social worker and a Christian by faith. She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Hornback; a brother, Roy "Joe" Hornback; and her husband of 50 years Kenneth “Buddy” Bryant, Sr. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Kenneth E. Bryant,, Jr. (Kimberly); a daughter, Debra Moonis (George); her mother, Hettie Hornback; sister, Martha Guzzardo; brothers, Jimmy and William Hornback; grandchildren, Amanda Prevette (Jonathan), Kristen Hagan (Chad), Kristopher Bryant (Brittany); and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral service for Doris will be held on Friday March 1, 2024 at Noon in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 3-8 pm on Thursday.
