She was a retired educator and principal for JCPS for over 30 years, most recently serving as principal of Foster Traditional Academy, and she was a member and minister of St. Stephen Church.
Dr. Miller is survived by her children Joel Miller (Michelle), David Miller (Michelle), JoAnna Harlan (Jeffrey), and DeAnna Miller-Wooden (Keith Sr.); a brother, General Lee; grandchildren, Jewel, Levi, Asa, Sky, Shay, Jazmine, Joy, Jamie, JoLisa, Jayla, Darian, and Keith Jr.; her former husband, Rev. Dr. James E. Miller; Godchildren, Donald Rucker (Lasonya) and LaTonya Cotton; and a host of nieces and nephews and other extended family.
Her homegoing service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday at St. Stephens Church, 1018 S. 15th Street, followed by entombment at Louisville Memorial Gardens West, 4400 Dixie Hwy. Visitation will be from 3-8 pm Wednesday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy, and after 10:00 am Thursday at the church.
