Earl C. Jones

Earl C. Jones, 86, who loved to sing, joined God's heavenly choir April 3, 2018. He was a quartet singer starting at the age of 12 and continued to sing the rest of his life. Earl was accomplished at many things, from being a builder, contractor, a radio announcer, a salesman, and a TV producer. Earl was an Eagle Scout. He obtained the rank of Major and was a Master Sharp Shooter for the Army. He taught adult bible studies at Valley Christian Church. He organized the R.O.M.E.O’s club.

He is preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy C. Jones and Louise R. Lehr Jones, and his late wife, Carole Colbert Jones.

Left to Cherish his memories are; a son, Martin Earl Buckminister, two daughters Leigh Anne Boland Jones (Harley), Amanda Jones Good (Jon), two brothers, Frank G. Jones (Rosalee), Melvyn L. Jones (Joan). Earl has seven grandchildren, Mark, Rebecca, Rachel, Sarah, Elizabeth, Andrew, and Bucky, along with numerous nieces and nephews, and a cherished friend Camille Martin.

Mr. Jones' visitation will be under the direction of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home on 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky, 40218, on Sunday, April 8th at 2:00-8:00pm and Monday April 9th, 10:00-12:00, with funeral services starting at 12:00pm at the funeral home. The burial will take place after the funeral at Cave Hill Cemetery.
