Edith Bernice French peacefully joined family members on Friday, December 1, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl B. French, Jr., parents, Clara and Frank Fisher, eight brothers and sisters and her daughter Edith Slone.
Left to cherish her memory are son, Carl B. French III (Marilyn); grandsons, Matthew French (Tiffany), Carl B. French IV; great grandchildren, Justin, Alyssia and Caroline French; great-great grandchildren Evelyn and Harrison French; and her son-in-law Charles Slone.
Edith Bernice was prayerful, perseverant and a model of Catholic faith. Her family was her priority, she was devoted to her husband and children. She was a voracious reader, and game show expert who loved old movies.
Visitation will be from 9 am to noon on Monday, December 4 followed by a celebration of Edith Bernice’s life at noon in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with interment to follow in St. Michael Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to Catholic Charities, 2911 South 4th Street, Louisville, KY 40208.
