

Eleanor Reis Samuels, 88, of Louisville, passed away December 30, 2009 at Wesley Manor. She was a retired secretary with Henry Vogt and a member of the 4th Street Presbyterian Church. She led a full and active life, and loved spending time with her family, traveling (especially to the beach), square dancing and shopping!
She is preceded in death by her husbands Joe Reis and Paul Samuels; son Rodney Reis; grandson Eric Reis; and brothers Edgar and Russell Elswick.
She is survived by her sons Bill Reis (Debbie), Bruce Reis (Susie); step children Danny (Cathy) and Steve Samuels, Laura Hardin (Rich), Marilyn Stevens; grandchildren Becky Cotton, Rick Reis (Shannon), Keith Cavallo and Jaime McAvoy; great grandchildren Rich, William, Jacob, Erica, Kelsey, Devin, Jena and Cali; two great great grandchildren, as well as many step grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday January 9, 2010 at Evergreen Funeral Home with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-9 p.m. Friday January 8, 2010, and on Saturday after 10 a.m. until service time.
