Elizabeth Stoudmire-McClain

Elizabeth Stoudmire-McClain passed peacefully from this life the morning of December 14th after a gradual decline in health. She was supported by her loving son and family during her last years of her life. Elizabeth was born in Prattville, AL, but has lived in Louisville almost all her life. She was a member of Cable Baptist Church in which she was a faithful member until illness struck her. However, she continued to be active as a seamstress, making potholders, aprons and repairing her neigh ors clothing. Most of her creative work was donated to the Arts & Craft Center at her apartment complex.

Elizabeth is survived by three children: Roy Hayes (Tina), Daniel Hayes, Shirley Bailey (James); eight grandchildren: Michael Brown and Marquita Bailey-Jacobs (Paul) and Roy Hayes Jr. and Damon Hayes, Sharese Quattlebaum (Mark) and Jatica Bailey, Jamie Bailey (Kyaunna) Danny's daughter, Kenya; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins; Elizabeth is also survived by her brother Joseph Stoudmire (Addie).

She was preceded in death by her mother Hattie, her father Fencher, her daughter Alice and brother Jimmy.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 22 at Evergreen Funeral Home at 2pm and visitation will be from 12pm-2pm Thursday.
