Emmett E. "Sonny" Patterson

Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Sonny was born on Wednesday, December 6, 1933 to the lates' Emmett L. Patterson and Larcy Lile. He was an Auto Repairman by trade where he worked for Carl Roman, Inc.. Sonny was a member of Highview Baptist Church and was a Freemason where he was a member of the Shawnee Lodge #830 in Georgetown, Indiana. He was an avid golfer, UK athletics fan and sports lover in general.

Besides his parents, Emmett and Larcy Patterson; his sisters, Joyce Williams and Jean Rhoades, precede Sonny in his passing.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Betty L. Patterson; sons, Mark (Peggy) Patterson and David (Jessica) Patterson; grandchildren, Daniel Patterson, Grace Patterson, Micah Patterson and Andrew (Maggie) Patterson; great - grandchildren, Lottie Patterson and Nellie Patterson; plus, a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home - Okolona Chapel. Sonny will be laid to rest at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025 from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. also at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home - Okolona Chapel.
