Ernie was born on September 6, 1958 in Altus, Oklahoma to the late William Lawson and Josephine Hellinger. He was a 1977 graduate of PRP High School, a member of Okolona Christian Church and loved golfing. Ernie left us with a lot of memories; his family and friends will always remember his quick wit and dry sense of humor. He was everyone’s handyman; being able to fix and build just about everything, and if he couldn’t he would find someone that could help. Ernie was a hard worker. While working at Excel Services, Ernie Started up his own home improvement / maintenance business in 2005. He aspired to eventually go full time with his business. It was named after his wife and daughters, SJGLA, Home Improvement Done Right.
Here to keep his memories alive are his wife of 40 years, Sharon Lawson; daughters, Jessica Bonner (Terrence), Gina Egnor (Ryan) and Lori Anne Lawson; grandchildren, Alexis, Tyler, T.J., Sean, Terrence, Jr., Gracey, Brady, Jaxson, Sam and Ava; siblings, Mickey Hellinger, Sandy Jeanes, Terry Lawson, Norman Hellinger and Scotty Hellinger; along with numerous other family and friends who will miss him.
Visitation will be from 2-8pm on Sunday, June 30th at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. The funeral service will take place at 10am at the funeral home on Monday, July 1st, with the entombment taking place in Resthaven Memorial Park.
