Born in Louisville, Ky on November 13, 1917 passed away peacefully in her sleep, late afternoon on Sunday, May 5, 2013, at Springhurst Pines Health and Rehab
She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Collins, Jr. She is survived by daughters, Joyce Guderian, Linda Walker(Robert), son Gerald "Jerry" W. Collins(Jane); nieces, Cynthia"Cindy" Shain; Alice Jenkins(Jim); 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was an avid collector of antiques. In the past , she owned The Mansion Row Antique Shop in New Albany, Indiana.
She was such a shopper and her motto was "Shop til You Drop". She raised beautiful flowers. Estella was a member of St. Mary's and Elizabeth's Hospital Auxiliary.
She attended the Jewish Community Senior Center and other Senior Centers.
In her 80's she was Line Dancing. Her love of life, charm and quick wit attracted many friends.
The family thanks the doctors and staff for excellent care at Springhurst Pines Health and Rehab; Norton Brownsboro Hospital; Norton Brownsboro Transitional Care and Rehab.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 9th(Ascension Day) at Arch L. Heady Westport Village. A celebration of her life will be at 11 a.m. following visitation in the Arch L. Heady Chapel. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park.
