She was born November 5, 1928 in Paducah, KY, the daughter of Marvin and Ladine Thompson Leonard. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Gene Ray Hardy and one sister, Marva Carroll.
Charlene was previously employed by the FBI and was also a licensed Real Estate Broker with Hardy Real Estate and was also a member of Watterson Trail Church of Christ.
She will be remembered for being a very loving and caring Mother and Grandmother, who will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Gary Hardy and Daryl Hardy (Bonnie); two grandsons, Jeff Hardy (Heather) and Jeremy Hardy (Danielle); great-grandchildren, Ryan, Reagan, Riggs, Rollins, Sarah Kate, and Lila Ray; one brother, Craig Leonard (Barbara) and many nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate Charlene’s life will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 2, 2017 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd. Burial will follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of customary expressions, donations may be given to Hosparus.
