Frances B. Cassidy

Frances Bedics Cassidy, 89, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away on August 26, 2011 at Hosparus of Louisville Inpatient Care Center with her family by her side. Mrs. Cassidy was born in Bethlehem, PA on July 8, 1922.

Mrs Cassidy was the loving wife for 61 years of William H Cassidy who preceded her in death in 2008. She is survived by her five children, sons W. Steven Cassidy (Lois) of Osceola, IN, Kevin Cassidy (Kay) of Centralia, WA, Thomas Cassidy of Florence, KY and daughters Patricia Cassidy (Stephen Hall) and Mary Ellen Cassidy both of Louisville, KY. Also left to cherish her memory are brother Michael Bedics (Carol) and sister Margie Leunis, brother and sister in law Elmo and Joann Cassidy, grandchildren Kim, Lesa, Amanda, Kevin, Ranny, Brian, Michael, Joe, and Della many nieces and nephews and two great grandchildren, Kaia and Seth.

A celebration of her life will be conducted Wednesday August 31, 2011 at 10:00 am at Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday August 30, 2011 from 3-8 at the funeral home.

Special thanks to the nurses, doctors and staff at The Good Samaritan Center, Norton Suburban Hospital and especially the staff at Hosparus who lovingly cared for her.

Mrs Cassidy will be remembered by her sweet caring nature, quick wit and her love of chocolate. She touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed. Expressions of sympathy can be made to The Good Samaritan Center in Jeffersontown or to Hosparus of Louisville.
