Frances Catherine Searcy, 94, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021. She was born in Louisville on November 27, 1926, to the late Robert Hollis & Nellie Colvin. She graduated from Louisville Girls High School and was a member of the Louisville Girls High School Alumni.
Frances was a Christian and was baptized in the Nolin River as a child. She was an active member of Cooper Memorial Methodist Church for many years. She loved preparing meals for her family and was an excellent cook. She enjoyed genealogy and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed traveling and had a love for music. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. She will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Perry; her daughter-in-law, Candice (March 30th, 2021), and her son, Michael (April 26, 2021); daughter-in-law Deborah; and sister, Sylvia Mae Habenstein.
Left to cherish her memory, her children, Maurice Searcy (Sharon Denbo), Hollis Searcy (Ellen), & Mark Searcy; eight grandchildren, Emily Searcy, Beth Morgan, Kim Forden, Brennen Searcy, Trevor Searcy, Crystal Patterson, Tiffany Searcy, & William Tran; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation Monday, May 10, 2021, 3-8pm, and Tuesday, May 11, 2021, 9am-12pm, at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Hwy. Funeral services will follow at 12 Noon in the Arch L. Heady & Son Chapel with burial to follow at Cave Hill Cemetery.
