Frank lived a life marked by curiosity and boldness, meeting each season with a steady sense of purpose and an appreciation for the moments that made life rich. Known for his kindness and generosity, he carried himself with a spirited outlook that made time with him memorable, and he approached life with the kind of adventurous energy that never truly dimmed.
Frank served as the Director of Criminal Justice at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan, where his professional life reflected a deep commitment to the work he was called to do.
Away from his career, Frank found pleasure in the things that brought him joy and freedom—especially a good glass of Bourbon, a love of Harley Davidson Motorcycles, sports cars, and the open road. His last Harley Davidson ride was at the age of 81, a fitting reflection of the enduring independence and zest with which he embraced life.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Bud Crowe; and his sister, Ellen Crowe.
Frank is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Rhodes (Derrick) and Angela Bailey (Tony); grandchildren, Stephen Rhodes, Virginia Riddle (Zach), Cody Sparks (Bonnie), and Connor Bailey; great-grandson, Reid Sparks; and sister, Mary Joan Kraft; along with 3 nieces and a host of great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be announced by the family at a later date. Please check back to this online obituary in the upcoming weeks for a date and time.
