He was born on January 3, 1978, in Louisville, KY, the son of Garry Ray Patterson Sr. and Diane (Elliott) Patterson. He was preceded in death by his mother.
Garry was a graduate of St. Xavier High School and went on to serve in the United States Army. He had his own lawn care business and was very community focused doing many volunteer activities and served as a coach for numerous youth sporting groups.
Survivors include his father, Garry Ray Patterson, Sr.; his long-time companion, Crystal Yancey; two children, Landon and Cameron; a brother, Tywayne Coomer as well as many other extended family members and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held from 1-4 PM on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Ave. Louisville, KY 40206.
