Gary Messinger

Gary Leonard Messinger, age 74, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023. He was an incredible artist. Gary retired from Ford Motor Company after 40 plus years of service. He was an avid golfer at Woodhaven County Club. He was an all around great person!

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Clyde Messinger; son, Gary Leonard "Lenny" Messinger Jr; step daughter, Ann Camp; and granddaughter, Amanda Musselman.

Left to cherish Gary's memory is his loving wife, Joyce Messinger; daughters, Christina Applegate, Kim Taylor (David); step daughters, Rhonda Huffman (Larry), Becky Brashear (Kevin); grandchildren, Amber Gunter, Danny Camp, Patrick Camp, Nick Brashear(Rachel), Adam Huffman, Corey Huffman, Jackson Murray, Spencer Taylor, Lenny Applegate, Amelia Applegate; sisters, Phyllis Ringenberg (Art), Sharon Hopkins (Dennis), Paulette Strotman (Bruce); several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and special friends at AA Trinity Group.

The Memorial Visitation for Gary will be held Sunday, February 26, 2023 from 2:00pm to 8:00pm at Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8519 Preston Highway, Louisville, Kentucky 40219.

Memorial donations in Gary's honor should be directed to AA or The Healing Place.
