George L. McClure

George L. McClure, 83, of Louisville, Kentucky, was born on August 13, 1942, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Robert A. McClure and Katherine L (Coyle) McClure. He passed away on May 7, 2026. Throughout his life, George carried himself with a steady sense of purpose—approaching each day with diligence, offering care to those he loved, and showing consideration in the quiet ways that are often remembered longest.

George was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Ledia "Darlene" McClure; two sisters, Betty Simmons and Barbara Ewing; and a brother, Robert "Bobby" McClure.

He is survived by his three children, Doug (Stephanie) McClure, Scott (Judy) McClure, and DeAnna (Mike) Kiper; five grandchildren, Clara, Caleb, Carter, Nate, and Tyler; one sister, Patricia Jones; and one brother, Joseph McClure.

Visitation will be held at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218, on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will take place at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218, on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 10:00 am.

Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218, on May 16, 2026, at 11:00 am.
