Born in Hodgenville, Ky to the late Otis and Mildred Brooks, Harold graduated from Male High School, Louisville, Ky and attended Parks College in Cahokia, IL He proudly served his county in the US Army between the end of WWII and the start of the Korean War. Harold became a switch man for Terminal Railroad until his retirement. He had a love for animals, especially cats. He also enjoyed horse racing and music.
His loving wife Vera D Brooks preceded him in death.

Harold was laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville, KY.
