Barnett, Homer Ray, 87, born October 11, 1929 in Danville, Kentucky to Charles and Mildred Barnett. Ray was a dedicated soldier where he served 20 years in the U.S. Army and then another 20+ years in the Trucking Industry.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wanda; daughter, Doris Jean; brothers, Herman and Howard Barnett; and sisters, Rachel Walls and Hazel Wooten.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Glenn (Sharron), Joey (Tresa), and Randy (Tammy) Barnett; daughters, Brenda and Nancy Barnett, Sandy Lewis (Richard), and Kathee Robinson (Jimmy); brothers, Harold and Harlan Barnett; 17 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his Buddy.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 12 pm at Evergreen Funeral Home Dignity Chapel with entombment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 pm-8 pm at the funeral home.
