Jack L. Lyons Sr., born on April 16, 1940 passed away on THURSDAY, August 25, 2016. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War where he earned a Purple Heart, he was a retired helicopter safety inspector for the Department of Defense and was a Kentucky Colonel. Jack was a loving Husband, brother, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife Gloria Lyons, their children, Debi, Teri, Brian Kevin and Jack Jr., his sisters, Carolyn Sharpe and Janice Pancake, a brother, Ken Lyons, nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
A funeral service to celebrate Jack’s life will be conducted at 3pm on Monday, August 29, 2016 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. with inurnment to be held at a later date at Resthaven Memorial Park. Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 12-3pm the day of the funeral.
