James Leo Castleman
12 September, 1937 – 19 November, 2020
James Leo Castleman, 83, of Louisville, KY went to be with his heavenly Father on Thursday, November 19, 2020.
He was born on September 12, 1937 in Louisville, KY to the late Clarence Castleman and Elizabeth Robbins. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Libby Faith Lurie Castleman; and his sister, Mary Rose Stewart.
James retired in 2019 as co-owner of Project Heating & Cooling Company. He was a huge U of L fan! James LOVED all sports and watching game shows for hours.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Castleman-Whitmore (Bruce); grandchildren, Daniel & Nick Presley, Tameryn & Aireka Whitmore; brother, Ronald Castleman (Sandy); two sister-in-laws, Deborah Lurie & Twila Grivicic.
Services for James will be private for the family. He will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Down Syndrome of Louisville.

Tammy and Family,
Your dad was a part of our community and even though we did not get to visit much, neighbors kept watch. It is hard any time to loose a loved one but it is especially difficult during this season of Thanksgiving.

Daddy... Growing up you was my hero today your my Shining Star guiding me each day. I'm glad I had you as my dad...
Thank you, for all the great memories of all the family vacations to Gatlinsburg, decorating for Christmas with millions lights....
Ive always tried to do right be you and will continue to do so! Now you have left me in charge of carrying on your legacy. I won't say good bye but I will say I love you and until we are together again....

Thank you Jim for all the wonderful holiday memories. Christmas at Jim and Libby's house was special and magical. I will never forget these times.
Jim, I enjoyed our conversations and your willingness to always open your home.
