He was a retired truck driver for the old Banner Co. The Creasy Co. and River City Properties. Eddie was a graduate of Flaget High School and held the honor as a Kentucky Colonel.
He always enjoyed music most of his life. He had started the Variety Pack Band and played music for almost 20 years. He was also a member of the original Majestic Band.
He is survived by loving wife, Edna Pickard Mumford; children, Sherry Tobbe (Dewayne), Sandra Schuburg (Ralph) and James Mumford Jr.; stepchildren, Velisa McDonald and Teddy McDonald (Beth); and a brother, Michael Mumford (Sheila).
His Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at noon at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday from 2-8 p.m.
