James Ronald (Jim) Wyman, 83, passed on to his heavenly home on February 18, 2021, in Louisville, KY with his family by his side.

He was born on January 4, 1938, in Louisville, Kentucky and was preceded in death by his parents, Elmo and Dorothy Wyman. He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Donna Owen Brewer Wyman and his siblings, Larry Wyman (Beverly), Bob Wyman (Cindy Wise), and Suzann Wyman Hundley (John).

Jim had physical limitations from birth due to cerebral palsy, but he never let it limit his determination and success in whatever he chose to do.

He graduated from Manual High School and UofL Speed School with dual majors of Civil and Electrical Engineering. His first job was with the KY Highway Department. He became interested in computers in the earliest stage of their development, and this led him to a career change where he went to work for Metridata Computing. A few years later he and several partners started a new business, Applied Business Systems, Inc.

When they decided to sell their business, Jim retired and did consulting work. With more free time, Jim was able to plan the wonderful travels that he and Donna loved to take.

Most importantly, Jim was a faithful Christian. He was a member of the Douglass Hills church of Christ. We rejoice in knowing that he is with God and is free from the confines of his wheelchair.

Visitation will take place at Arch L Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Rd., Louisville, KY, 40218 on Thursday, February 25, 2021 from 1-4 PM. Funeral will follow visitation at 4:00PM

Mr. Wyman will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park.
