Jametha "Jamie" Kaye Baxter

Jamie is survived by her husband of 25 years, Michael Baxter; her daughters Mikayla (Andrew Tye) and Erin; her parents James and Sharon Weatherly; her brother Rob (Tracy); her sister-in-law Janet Storm (Richard); nieces and nephews Suzy, Alicia, Kelli (Keith), Miles, Ella, Brody, Braxton, and Jenna; her aunt Dana Potts-Ford (Bob); and cousins Laura (Warren), Dallas, Adler and Merritt.

Jamie retired from JCPS in 2024 after a 31-year career serving the kids that needed it most as a LEEP coordinator and FRYSC.

Jamie lived the motto “Once a Panther always a Panther”. She dedicated many hours and days to Panther Basketball and anywhere else she was asked by the PRP community.

Jamie was a loyal University of Louisville supporter, attending U of L football games with her dad for 38 years.

Please join the family in honoring Jamie by wearing purple, her favorite color, or red and black for PRP and U of L.

Visitation will be held from 1-8 pm Tuesday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy. Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home, followed by burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the PRP Jamie Baxter Memorial Scholarship fund in care of the Bill and Vicki Miller Foundation.
