Jane Kelly Essig

Born in Ottawa, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Kelly and Inez Sutton. She was a graduate of the Ottawa Township High School in 1953 and graduated from Grinnell College in Iowa 1956.

Jane is survived by her son Michael Evan Essig, family member Ron Kelly (Kathy), Tampico, IL; Nieces and Nephew, Betty Ferree (John), Alexandra, VA, Cynthia Rouse, Lexington, and Arthur Rouse (Mary), Lexington. Also, her family Arthur Rouse (Jo), Louisville; and her many loved friends.

A service to celebrate Jane’s life will be conducted at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 11, 2014 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady and Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Entombment will be private for the family at Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
