She loved music and enjoyed dancing. She was very active in the community and was a member of numerous clubs and organizations.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Elizabeth Brent; her daughter, LeVeda McQuilling and a sister, Paula Riscile.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Willie; her children, John (Donna) McQuilling and Rosie (Mike) Heightchew; 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; along with a sister, Sharon Mathews.
Services will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Arch L. Heady-Cralle, 2428 Frankfort Avenue at 1:30pm. Visiting will begin Thursday at 10:00am until service time. Interment will follow at Cave Hill Cemetery.
