She was born August 5, 1926 in Richmond, KY the daughter of Warren and Addie Simpson. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Robert Whitaker; three sisters and three brothers.
Judy worked as a Crossing Guard at St. Albert the Great Schools for 45 years and was a member of Buckner Baptist Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Donna Hedges (Wesley), Pamela Pridemore (Billy), Cordelia Hardin (Gary); five grandchildren, Melissa Carlton (Gordon), Jennifer Truax (George), Paul Pridemore (Peggy), Robbie Hedges (Sumei) and Rachel Hardin; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Fannie Agee and Mae Long and several nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate Judy’s life was conducted at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Highland Baptist Church, 511 Mt. Eden Rd. Shelbyville, KY. Burial took place at Grove Hill Cemetery. Visitation was from 11AM until the service time on Thursday at the church.
