Joan Davis Vargo

Vargo, Joan Davis passed away on April 21, 2014. She was born May 22, 1931 in Cedar Lake, Indiana, daughter of Mildred and Royal Edgar Davis. She grew up in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. She married Joseph F. Vargo Jr. on September 6, 1952 and lived in Louisville, KY since 1964, where she was an active member of Preston Highway United Methodist Church and Buechel United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death is her loving husband, Joseph F. Vargo Jr.

Survivors include her children, Joseph F. (Nancy Keepes) Vargo III of Mt. Carmel, IL, John D. (Jing Chen) Vargo of Cedar Rapids, IA, and James A. Vargo of Clarksville, IN; grandchildren, Joseph F. Vargo IV, Davis J. Vargo, John and Nicole (Vargo) Thomas; great grandchildren, Madison and Conner; and sister, Nancy Morton of Hendersonville, NC.

There will be a visitation at 3 pm followed by a memorial service to honor the life of Joan at 4pm, Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Buechel United Methodist Church, 2817 Hikes Lane, Louisville, KY 40218. There will be food and fellowship following the memorial service at Buechel United Methodist Church.
