John Robert Sherman, 80, of Louisville, formerly a native of Castile, New York, passed away on the morning of July 15, 2014, at Kindred Hospital. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a self employed trucker. During his work career he also was in sales, and after retirement to stay busy he drove a school bus. John was a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church.
He was predeceased by his parents, John E. and Frances L. Fuchs Sherman; and a sister, Ruth Frederick.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 50 years, Karen Campbell Sherman; son, USN Lt. Kevin Sherman (Theresa); granddaughters, Kayli and Shelby Sherman; sisters, Phyllis Corcoran and Linda Smith, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 11a.m. at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 3042 Hikes Lane, Louisville, KY., with burial in KY Veterans Cemetery Central.
