Joseph Johnson, Jr.

Joseph is preceded in death by his parents; Joseph Johnson Sr. and Mossie Mae Baute; his beloved wife, Vernice Johnson; his siblings Edward Johnson, Lorene Talbott and Mary Ann Goodman; and his niece Sherry Lynn Johnson.

Here to carry on his memory are his children, Joseph "Joey" Johnson III (Rebecca), and Melissa Johnson; grandchildren Justin (Tayler), Brandon, Ryan Johnson, Craig Veteto (Savannah), and Molly Sharer; great-grandchildren Cole and Sophie Jo Veteto; his siblings Vonnie Hester (Steve) and Paulette Long (Donnie); a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A graduate of Male High School, Joseph went on to work in sales. He adored spending time with his family, gardening, woodcarving, and fishing. He was a drummer and a member of the Nazarene Church where he was the music director.

He will be greatly missed and remembered with much love.

Visitation for Joseph will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Joseph will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife in Resthaven Memorial Park.
