He was born September 1st, 1977, in Louisville, the son of Joey and the late Joan (Sauer) McGinnis.
Joseph loved his family more than anything in this world, especially his sister/bestfriend Stefanie McGinnis. They spent every day together and always had each other's backs. He took pride in being a loving father, son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for the people he loved. He was so funny and always made everyone around him laugh. He was a light in this dark world. He enjoyed playing the guitar, drawing, and rock music.
Left to cherish his memory are his three children: Matthew Borcherding, Jenna Borcherding (Allen Brinley), Justin McGinnis; Father, Joey McGinnis; Sister, Stefanie McGinnis (Keith Whobrey); and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on June 4, 2025, at Arch L Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Avenue from 4pm-7pm. Words of remembrance will take place at 7pm.
