Denny enjoyed playing Yahtzee, taking their dog for walks, was a fan of wrestling and an avid UK Wildcats basketball fan, and enjoyed fishing. He loved his family, his nieces, his nephews, and his cousins. He was a faithful, devout catholic.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Melody Norgaard Thompson, his parents Dennis Thompson Sr. and Bernadette Thompson, his sisters Annie Justice (Jeff), Alicia Houston (Mark), and Angela File (Kurt), and his brother Jamie Thompson.
Dennys visitation will be held at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 8519 Preston Highway, Louisville, KY 402195390, on March 5, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will take place at St Rita Catholic Church, 8709 Preston Hwy, Louisville, KY 40219, on March 6, 2026, at 10:00 am.
A Committal Service will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, 4623 Preston Highway, Louisville, KY 40213, on March 6, 2026, at 11:30 am.30 am.
