65, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2010 at her home. She was a Retired Director of Order Services for Trend Appliances and a member of Parkland Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eli and Lessie Miller; infant sister Stella; brother, Earl Miller and a nephew James E. Miller. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Larry Drake; a son, Jonathan A. Drake (Krista); granddaughter Caroline R. Drake; brother, Melvin Miller (Jeane); a sister, Janice Trogdon (Calvin); a sister-in-law, Willa Dean Miller and numerous nieces and nephews; and her long time friend, Arlene Lipsey. Joyce was a gentle person whose life revolved around her home and family. She touched the lives of all who knew her, and will be greatly missed. Her Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 3:00–8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
