Juanita Lee Widener, 80, of Louisville, passed away at her home on October 16, 2011. She was the former Juanita Smith of Oakvale, W. Va. She had worked for Beckley Manufacturing Company for five years and had retired from Peyton Inc. with over 25 years of service. She loved to read and listen to country music.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mert and Rena St. Clair Smith; her husband, James "Jim" O. Widener; sisters, Helen Calacino and Cleo Davis and her baby brother, James E. Smith.
Surviving are her children, James "Butch" (Karen) Widener, Brenda (Danny) Gaines, Diana Lynn Widener; brother, Bob (Dela) Smith; sisters, Frances White and Shirley Miller; sister-in-law, Shirley Smith; grandchildren, Melissa (Chris) Fegett, Joni (Chris) Atzinger, Chad and Erica Widener; great-grandchildren, Ginger and Georgia Atzinger and Chrissy Danielle Fegett; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
