She wore herself thin like a well-loved prayer,
Giving pieces away till the cupboards were bare.
She worried she hindered, a weight on the floor,
Never seeing the light that she held by the door.
Her life was a mountain of gravel and stone,
Yet she made sure that no one would climb it alone.
She raised up the children that weren't of her blood,
And stood like a levee in everyone's flood.
She forgot her own hunger to make sure everyone was fed,
With a selfless devotion and a heart rarely read.
"I’m in the way," she would softly believe,
While sewing the joy that we all would receive.
But her eyes stayed on Jesus through seasons of loss,
She found all her strength at the foot of the cross.
She didn't quite fit in a world made of pride,
With a spirit too humble to keep tucked inside.
She served like a shadow, quiet and dim,
But her soul was a symphony rising to Him.
Now the "burden" is lifted, the labor is done,
She’s finally resting in the light of the Son.
No more taking care—she is cared for at last,
In a kingdom where hard lives are things of the past
and she can finally live the life she deserved at last

She carried weight she thought was hers alone,
A "burden" in a world she served SO well,
She built a sanctuary, brick and stone,
While in a quiet, lonely house she’d dwell.
She never saw the light she cast so wide,
The way she cleared the thorns from every path,
With weary grace and nothing left to hide,
She faced the storm and stilled the winter’s wrath.
Her hands were worn from holding others’ lives,
From rocking children who were not her own,
The kind of love that suffers and survives,
On seeds of kindness she had tirellessly sown.  She didn't know her place or see her worth,
A traveler who felt she stayed too long,
Yet while she walked this hard and heavy earth,
Her weary heart still hummed a Savior’s song every step of the way
She served the King with every tired breath,
She feared no shadow and she feared no death,
For she was longing for a kinder place.
Now she is cherished, whole, and finally known,
No longer tired, no longer seeking light,
The seeds of love she thought were lost or lone,
Are blooming in the garden of His sight.
I hope she is happy now, that her heart and her mind is finally at ease

She spent her years in quiet light,
Nursing wounds and mending seams,
The gentle hand that through the night
Was the anchor of our restless dreams.
She held the world so we could rest,
A tireless heart, a steady flame,
And even when she’s laid to rest,
The air still whispers out her name.
Now I am searching for the calm,
The peace she carried in her palm and her presence,
A way to walk this heavy floor
Without her shadow at the door.
But in the silence, soft and deep,I find the grace she used to keep;
Her love’s the map, her life the key,
To finding peace inside of me.
Because that's what she would want for me.

Prayers for Family and Friends. It’s been a long time but peace is now and forever in the hands of our Lord. Thank You for our fantastic friendship in which different paths lead us away from all but we always remember the journey and our friendship remains in our hearts and memories.

I remember  Judy . She was  so very nice.  Rest  in Heaven.  Prayers for the family
