

Julianna “Dolly” Hagan Nance, 87 of Louisville, passed away Friday, January 23, 2026. She was born April 17, 1938 to the late Robert and Elizabeth Hagan of Owensboro, KY. In her younger days, Julianna enjoyed horseback riding on her horse: Prance as well as riding her low-ride Harley with her brothers and her former spouse Billy Hale. In her later years, she still enjoyed family activities, such as dining with her friends at the Cracker Barrel on Dixie Hwy or traveling to Gatlinburg for mother/daughter trips that sometimes included her granddaughters as well. Julianna was an avid sports fan, especially any UK sport game and the Dallas Cowboys. She attended Highview Baptist Church and Graceland Church with her friend Jean, but she was a lifetime member of the Settle Memorial United Methodist Church in Owensboro. She was a KY Colonel, a member of the American Business Woman's Association, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star-Crescent Hill Chapter, which consolidated with the Middletown # 319 Eastern Star Chapter, and a member of the Order of the White Shrine.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son William “Billy” Jones.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Jamie Beth Armstrong (Danny) and Terri Lee Nelson (Rick); her grandchildren: April Hill (Jay), Matthew Nelson (Monica), Autumn Jones, Michella Ryles (C.J.) and Danielle Kellogg (Ryan); her great-grandchildren: Gaige Hill, Alyssa Hill, Macaylee Nelson, Ethan Keen, Tyler Keen, Maycie Nelson, Xander Whitcomb, Matthew Nelson, Briella Ryles and Clyde Ryles; her brothers: Robert “Mickey” Hagan, JR. (Mary), Ronald “Ronnie” Hagan (Sharon), and Randall “Randy” D. Hagan (Cynthia); and her daughter-in-law: Paula Gill.
A service in Julianna’s honor will be held at 2 PM Friday, February 13, 2026 at Arch L Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40218 with entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10-2 PM at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend a sincere, heartfelt thanks to all the doctors, nurses, therapists, nursing assistants at U of L Hospital, Frazier, Baptist Health, Caretenders, Willow of Springhurst, and Jefferson Place for their wonderful care of Julianna.
