Katherine Ray Phillips-Nations

She was born on January 18, 1945 in Louisville, KY to the late Joe Hoagland and Ruth Thacker Hoagland. She is also preceded in death by her late husband, Robert A. Phillips; brother, Charles Edward Hoagland; and her step-children, David Phillips and Sarah Elizabeth Nations.

Katherine worked for General Electric, after retiring from there; she then went on and received her Real Estate license, working the remaining of her career for Semonin Realtors. Katherine enjoyed life to the fullest and loved spending time with her loving family and dear friends.

She is survived by her loving husband, Frankie Preston Nations; children, Robert Sheren (Tammy), Rhonda Sandlin (Lee); step-children, Barbara Pickett (Joe), Don Phillips (Bonnie), Janet Yeager (Tom), John Andrews Nations and Robert Timothy Nations; brother, Ulysses “Chuck” Hoagland and a host of loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 1, 2021 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218, and visitation will resume on Wednesday June 2, 2021 from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon at the funeral home.

Katherine will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park.
