He was born on September 1, 1932 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky to the late John Thomas Rouse and Edna Hall. Kenneth served in the Army during the Korean War. He later went on to retire as a construction foreman. He will always be remembered for his love for tinkering with old cars amongst other things. Kenneth also loved to bowl and was an avid bowler.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in passing by his sisters, Dorothy Dean Wilson and Ruth Schwermian, daughter-in-law Debbie Rouse, and his great-granddaughter Ally Hartweck. Here to carry on Kenneth’s memory is his loving wife of 69 years, Rita Lush Rouse; his children William Dale Rouse, Kenneth Ladd Rouse Jr. (Sue), Sharon Davis (Ron), Shirley Presswood (Kenny), Sheila Hartweck (Fred), and Joseph Rouse; sister Mary Alvey; 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 24 from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. A funeral service in Kenneth’s honor will follow Thursday morning at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Kenneth will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park.
