Born in PeeWee Valley, KY to the late Ernest and Ora (Smith) Moss. Lawrence married the love of his life, Carolyn (Simmons Dillihay) Moss on May 21, 1977. Lawrence lived most of his life in Louisville, KY. He worked and retired from Alcan Aluminum (formerly Anaconda Aluminum) after 35 years. He enjoyed his family, motorcycles, small engine repair and his passion for body building. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Ernestine Moss (Kerger Lawson), and his granddaughter, Kaitlynn Marie Wellman.
Lawrence is survived by his wife of 45 years; one sister, Ora Francis (Francie)Moss III , four children; Sharlotte (Gary) Utz, Todd Moss (Julia) Jessica (Brian) Wellman, Rebecca (Edmund) Devereaux, four step-children; Lynn Dillihay, Donna Dillihay, Lori (Ronnie) Jackson, Melanie (Scott) Summers; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 3-7pm on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd. Louisville KY 40222. An inurnment will take place at a later date in Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
