Leo “Monzie” Thompson, 95, of Louisville, passed away Monday, January 30, 2023 with his family by his side. He was born in Hart County, Kentucky on April 28, 1927 to the late George and Maggie Thompson.
Leo retired from Ford Motor Company on March 31, 1991. He also proudly served in WWII Army Air Corps 13th division. Leo was also an avid woodworker.
His wife Eula, ten siblings and grandson, Andrew Carrier proceeded Leo in death.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Krista Carrier(Tommy), Ginny Rogde(John), grandsons, Jake Curtsinger(Jackie), Ryan Carrier, Lee Rogde, a great granddaughter on the way, and a host of other family members and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 2-8pm at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Hwy. Louisville, Kentucky 40219. Funeral Mass will be Monday at 10am at St. Rita Catholic Church, 8709 Preston Hwy. Louisville, Kentucky 40219 with burial to follow at Lone Hill Cemetery.
