Sonny was a loving father, a devoted man of faith, and the rambunctious subject of many a family tale. His vigorous character carried him past sorrowful childhood hardships, enriching him with a quiet wisdom and endearing personality in maturity. A retiree of Local 70 Iron Workers, (also having worked for Padgett, Inc.), and a Marine Corp veteran, his peaceful years were spent reading Zane Grey novels, whose adventurous stories perfectly matched his inner spirit and now reflect the freedom to which he has been released.
Logan was preceded in death by his daughters Cathy Atzinger and Lisa Hinton. Survivors include his daughters Paula Smith and Pam Grau; sons-in-law Edward Smith and Michael Grau; brothers Buddy and Ronnie Atzinger; sister, Sara Hert; 7 grandchildren, Mary, Michael, Meredith, Haleigh, Logan, Hillary, and Thomas; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Per his wishes, cremation was chosen, and the family will have a celebration of life event at a later date.
