She was a clerk for the old L&N railroad for 40 years. Lora was an avid gardener, loved sewing, crafts and travelling.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph R. Smith, sister, Evelyn Roby (Paul), nieces, Paula Kay Maddox and Tammy Smallwood.
A celebration of Lora’s life will be conducted at 10 am Wednesday 16, 2013 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 3-8 pm Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at the funeral home and after 9am the day of the service.
