

Louis Wayne "Pinky" Offutt passed away on January 19th, 2025. He was preceded in death by his childhood sweetheart and love of his life, Stella M. Offutt; and brothers Paul, Charles, Johnny, Joe, and Jimmy. Louis and Stella enjoyed 62 years together and raised 4 children that they were very proud of. He is survived by the following: brother Jerry Offutt; sisters "Patsy" Kremer; Elizabeth "Boots" Nugent and Betty Lou Siefert (Joe). Children; Timothy W. Offutt (Debra); Donna L. Davis (Larry); Denise Coomes (Greg); Dianne HIte (Bryan). Grandchildren: Amanda Bates (Lucas); Nathaniel Davis; Jared Davis-Shirley (Ariel); Nigel Graham; Courtney Allan (Nathan); Aaron Coomes. Great Grandchildren; Danika Urbany and Eliza Allan.
Louis was a veteran of the United States Air Force with tours of service in Europe and Korea. His awards include the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Korean Service Medal and the UN Service Medal. Louis was a life-long member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and contributed much time and resources in service to the church. Louis worked at Overhead Door Company for over 30 years. He enjoyed collecting various items and watching TV Western movies and programs. His most memorable quote was a saying he heard from his dad many times "Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it." The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Norton Brownsboro Hospital for their care and kindness. Louis' kindness, forgiving spirit and devotion to his faith and family leaving a lasting legacy that will be treasured by those he impacted for many years to come.
A visitation for Louis will be held Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218. A funeral service in Louis's honor will begin at 2:00 PM at the funeral home, with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, expression of sympathy may be made to Down Syndrome of Louisville.
