

Lynn Charlene Klumb Deveaux, born on May 15, 1961, in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, passed away on January 9, 2026, in New York, NY. She was 64 years old. Lynn's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, kindness, and dedication, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege to know her.
Lynn was the cherished daughter of David Dwight Klumb and Shirley DeSwarte Klumb. Lynn was a dedicated and loving sister to her late sister, Karen Klumb, who preceded her in death, as did her beloved son, Tristan Deveaux. Lynn's family was her greatest treasure, and her legacy lives on through them.
On November 9, 1996, Lynn married the love of her life, Dr. Peter Gerard Deveaux. Together, they created a warm and loving home filled with laughter and support. Lynn was a devoted mother to their four sons, Jackson, Henry, Tristan and Maddox Deveaux. Her nurturing spirit was evident in every aspect of her life, and she found joy in every milestone and moment shared with her family.
Lynn's academic journey was marked by excellence. She was a National Merit Scholar in 1979 and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Indiana Wesleyan University in 1983. Lynn went on to obtain her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Iowa, which paved the way for a fulfilling career dedicated to helping others. Her professional endeavors included working at the Palatine Illinois Senior Center from 1994 to 1999 and providing critical support with the American Red Cross Disaster Services in both Chicago and Boston from 1990 to 1994. Lynn also contributed her talents at Have a Heart Cardiology Clinic, where her caring nature made a significant impact on patients and colleagues alike.
An active member of her community, Lynn demonstrated a profound commitment to various organizations, including Save Our Schools, the Ballard High School PTA, and the Louisville Dems. Her unwavering dedication to her community showcased her belief in the importance of nurturing the next generation and standing up for those in need.
Lynn was known for her giving and kind-hearted spirit. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Peter, and their sons, Jackson, Henry, and Maddox. While Lynn's physical presence will be sorely missed, her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Services, located at 7410 Westport Road, Louisville, KY 40222-4100, on January 23, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The funeral service will take place at the same venue on January 24, 2026, starting at 11:00 am.
